DREAMING

About summer and beach holidays...

THURSDAY I'M IN LOVE

I finally managed to get hold of this silver-covered woollen cardigan from H&M (599 NOK). I have the perfect outfit to combine it with for a night out in Amsterdam (leaving tomorrow!)

HAPPY ♥♥♥ DAY

SOME BLOG RECOMMENDATIONS

Sofi Fahrman from Stockholm lives in New York,  works as a fashion reporter for Aftonbladet and has her own magazine Sofis mode.

Leandra Medine is the girl behind the blog the man repeller. She won the Bloglovin' Award for Best Blogger of the Year and has collaborated with numerous designers.  She blogs about fashion and style, and as such, about things that men don't usually like - hence the name "man repeller" (i.e. wedges, layering, shoulder pads.....NOT skinny jeans and white t-shirts). Read more about Leandra and her blog in the NY Times here

Swedish Elin Kling runs one of Scandinavia's largest fashion blogs. She co-designed a collection at H&M, competed in Dancing with the stars, and now she runs her own fashion magazine (Styleby) and clothing brand (Nowhere).

Norwegian blogger Ulrikke Lund has collaborated with brands such as Asos, Cola Light + Karl Lagerfeld, My wardrobe.com, Nelly, L'Oreal, H&M and more, and she runs her own fashion e-store at fashionlove.no.

DUO NAILS

Fun? Fashion? Silly? I like the playfulness of the spring-trends. Mix and match pastel colours! The 90's are back....

H&M / MARNI / COPPOLA

Sofia Coppola - Marni at H&M

I'm actually quite excited about this now. Still think it might not be the perfect match with the regular H&M consumer... Anyways... 8th March - I'll be there.

BACK ROW

Line of Oslo at Oslo Fashion Week

OFW with friends last night

Amazing show with ice skaters on the catwalk!!

Back row view..

The experienced buyer Line started Line of Oslo in 2007 after noticing the lack of good quality fashion basics with affordable price tags in the market. The result: this inspiring young Norwegian fashion brand, where quality is not a trade-off for the price!

DIY TABLE

In my living room: Table made of good old pallets

Here's how you do it:

Buy/find/get two pallets (the ones we found were quite "new". I recommend looking for some that are more "used" so that they have a more natural grey colour. That gives the perfect look). Use sandpaper to polish rough surface / edges.

Paint them in a colour of your choice (optional - you can leave them natural, as in the pic below!)

Stick the two pallets together with a hammer and nails..

Put four wheels on (these are from Clas Ohlson)

...and VOILA!
...you have a charming coffee-table made by you!

ECO-FASHION

Ethical fashion incorporates fair trade principles, sweatshop-free labour and environmental friendliness. And this is not a new concept. Established brands such as FIN Oslo, Edun, beyond skin and Katharine Hamnett are all based on and produces environmentally sustainable fashion. Some might think that ethical can't be fashionable, but that's absolutely not the case! Have a look at the brands mentioned above and you'll understand. Beautiful fabrics and designs can be ethical too!

Sooo, I want to introduce a newcomer in the ethical fashion industry. Honest by. has taken the concept of eco-fashion to the next level by offering total sourcing transparency.  Click on the design you like on their website, scroll down and you'll get all the info about cost (where your money was spent during the production cycle - from fibre to coat), about the fabrics and about the people who made it (where they work and who they are). They even have a "vegan" option available for almost every design (entirely free of animal products)! On top of that, the website is well-designed and inspirational. CHECK IT OUT!
